Wow, time flies by. The post count has dropped a little due to my playing the Pre-boarding phase of Pirates of the Burning Sea—a new online game set in the Carribean and involving ship-to-ship and swashbuckling combat. I shall be back to World of Warcraft and my Hunter after the official launch on January 22nd. In the meantime I suffered a loss of my auctioneer data (don’t ask, long story) so I’m building it up again before buying the mats for my enchantments. I won’t be the dummy who buys mats after someone buys up the whole auction house and then grossly inflates the prices.
Not playing WoW doesn’t mean I haven’t been keeping up-to-date with what’s out there though—here’s a few of my favourite reads over the week:
- Patch 2.3.2 is Here – with Faster Pet Leveling. Thank. You. Blizzard.
- PetEmote. Separating the huntards from the real pet lovers?
- Ghost Wolf Phases. Ooh, purty colours!
- BRK Hunter Timer Addons Movie. So many videos coming out of BRK at the moment—does this man sleep or does authentic New York pizza keep ya going longer than an endurance athlete? *grin*. Check out BRKTV on YouTube.
I have to install Pirates tonight. Though, my only contact through the game has so far said the lag leaves something to be desired. We shall see. I’m looking forward to rolling a pirate within the next few days though.
Yes, or rather Yarrr! – it can be bad at times on the open sea and when first reaching land. Luckily the mission instances are fine (although I wish the wind was always on my back lol). Hopefully this pre-launch phase (read extended beta) is providing plenty of data for the developers to tweak the server performance.
