How to pull with your Hunter pet

No idea where I’d picked this up originally—possibly by accident— but in the comments section for BRK’s post Mania raised a point about not knowing how to pet-pull until level 66. Several comments later and Pablo provides the answer that bears highlighting:

How to pull your pet back to you:

  1. Click on the ‘follow’ icon
  2. He comes back to your side
  3. “but he’s already set to follow”…click it anyway, it works.

Personally, I send the pet to attack and hit the ‘Passive’ command to bring it (and the mob) closer to me before re-engaging with /petattack at the place of my choosing. Works like a dream. If you do a really long pull like BRK in the video you might even get two charges out of your boar.

Lady Jess notes that this can also be applied to pull a mob into an ice trap if things go a bit awry in a dungeon.

  1. Hey thanks for the comment! I got the maps applet installed last night. Its sweet to have so much plugged into the ipod. I want to get a few more things from the webaps but I’m still deciding :P

Oh By the way I was looking at your 29 twink guide. I think if you can get the level 28 pvp cloak your twink can use the 12 agility enchant!

  2. Heya, no problem on the iPod tip :)
I had a look at the Battle Healer’s Cloak (and checked to make sure I didn’t make a typo)—it’s a level 33 item so no joy on the big enchant :(
